Autumn tarte with butternut and apples

Indulge in the warm, comforting flavors of fall with this delicious Autumn tarte with butternut and apples. Picture a buttery, flaky crust cradling a harmonious blend of roasted butternut squash, its sweetness deepened by the caramelized notes of happy maple goût riche. Each bite is a delightful dance of textures, from the smooth, earthy butternut to the burst of freshness from the apples.

Ingredients for the Autumn tarte with butternut and apples

  • Dough of choice

  • 60g vegan crème fraîche (we used new roots Fraiche)

  • 50g ground hazelnuts

  • 300g butternut squash (cut into slices 3 mm thick)

  • 1 apple (cut into slices 3 mm thick)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 Tbsp happy maple, goût riche

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp unsalted, chopped pistachios

  • 2 Tbsp pumpkin seeds

  • ½ bunch thyme, torn into pieces


How to

  1. On a sheet of baking paper, roll out the dough into a circle (approx. 32 cm in diameter), place on a baking tray.

  2. Spread the crème fraîche onto the dough, leaving a border of approx. 4 cm.

  3. Sprinkle with nuts.

  4. Mix the squash and apple with the oil, happy maple and salt, spread on top of the nuts.

  5. Sprinkle pistachios, pumpkin seeds, some happy maple and thyme on top, fold down the edges.

  6. Bake approx. 45 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 180 °C.

  7. Enjoy a slice of autumn bliss in every bite.
